JOB DESCRIPTION

Richard Welling & Co., LLP is seeking a Senior Tax Accountant desiring a great career path to join our team of tax professionals located in Torrance, California. Successful candidates must display:

A passion and desire to be an invaluable resource to our clients in terms of tax planning, research and counseling.
The ability to conduct yourself in an open and transparent manner as well as take calculated risks.
The ability to conceptualize solutions and take a long-term view toward how current tax strategies and solutions will benefit companies in the future.
A firm grasp of tax strategies for clients engaged in complex transactions.

We provide all the tools needed to succeed, including training, excellent administrative support, a paperless office, and other leading edge resources.

A successful candidate will assist a variety of clients with their federal and state tax needs, including but not limited to, preparation of tax returns and supporting workpapers, tax research, consulting, planning, financial statement reviews and provisions.

REQUIREMENTS

We are seeking a professional with both excellent people and technical skills that possesses the following qualities:

CPA
2-4 years of experience with a Big 4 or national firm focusing on income tax compliance and consulting for business entities and high net worth individuals.
Advanced Excel skills.
Experience with ProSystems Tax and Engagement highly preferred.
Excellent writing and oral communication skills.
Experience with the following industries a plus: Real Estate, Construction, Investments.
Demonstrated practice development ability a HUGE plus.
Masters degree in taxation or law degree is a plus.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Annual salary of up to $90,000. We offer generous compensation, benefits, and continuing education.
